Leeds LS2 9JT, England. Offers two B.Sc. courses, "Colour Chemistry and Dyeing" and "Colour Chemistry and Polymer Science"; two MSc courses, "Colour Physics, Polymer and Surface Coatings Science and Technology", and "Colour Application Technology"; and Ph.D. courses by research in ALL aspects of colour -- details at http://www.leeds.ac.uk/ccd/. The Head of Department is Prof. David M Lewis. The department undertakes teaching and research in various aspects of the coloration industry, from textile coloration to surface coatings to dye synthesis to colour physics to specialty chemicals and high technology chemical analysis. Leeds is well over a hundred years old with a fine history in the coloration industry. The department as of January will be publishing its own international journal entitled "Topics in Colour Chemistry." Alec Wills
University of Portsmouth, Department of Psychology Colour in Displays Unit.
"Although we specialise in M. Phil. and Ph.D. Postgraduate Programmes by Research, we have a growing band of people on our undergraduate courses who have been grabbed by colour. At the moment we have people working on the following: Calibration of displays, colour coding of control room displays, modeling colour naming on displays, use of colour overheads to improve reading, colour categorisations of young children, and a replication of part of Lippert's work using typical colour displays rather than HUDs." Darren Van Laar
RIT's Munsell Color Science Laboratory
Located at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. Successor to Fred Billmeyer's great courses at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RIT offers a Masters degree in color science,
Ph. D. in imaging science with research in color science, short courses in color, links to some excellent tutorials and demonstrations. David R. Wyble, wyble@cis.rit.edu
School of Textile, Fibers and Polymer Science: B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
Georgia Tech: School of Textile and Fiber Engineering
"Georgia Tech offers BS and MS degrees in Textiles (management), and Textile Engineering, a BS degree in Polymer and Textile Chemistry and a MS degree in Textile Chemistry. It also offers MS and Ph.D. degrees in Polymers. As part of its textile science and engineering curriculum the department offers courses in the Science of Color at the undergraduate level and courses in the coloration of textiles at both the undergraduate and graduate levels." Stephen Michielsen

"URI offers BS and MS degrees in Textiles, including options in Textile Science. As part of its textile science curriculum the department offers courses in Color Science at the undergraduate and graduate level, together with courses in Textile Dyeing and Finishing." Martin Bide
Terra Community College Fremont, Ohio
This school offers a two year course in coloring plastics, the only one specifically for this topic. The curriculum was developed, supported, and is monitored by the Color and Appearance Division (CAD) of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). TCC graduates and places about 30 plastics colorists every year. Their colorists enjoy an excellent reputation in the plastics industry.
